Those in older properties are now looking at the more significant jobs around the house, with damp patches being one of those.

Often, those patches are caused by rising damp thanks to a failed damp proof course or – in much older properties – the lack of a DPC altogether.

It is a popular misconception that the only method of installing a damp course in an existing wall is
with chemical injection, however Dampcoursing can fit a new physical DPC thanks to the specialist machinery and skilled operatives the company employs.

Favoured by many housing associations and local authorities, the physical insertion DPC option is ideally suited to the individual looking to refurbish or renovate an existing property.

Specialist cutting equipment is used to create a slot ready for the DPC, with the thickness of the cutting blade being the precise measurement required for the insertion of the DPC along with the necessary bedding mortar.

The DPC itself is cut to meet the varying wall thicknesses of each individual project.
