One of the longest serving companies in the construction industry, Dampcoursing Ltd., has been sold but the day to day operations of the business will continue to be run by its former directors John Donaldson and Mark Brickell with the added direction of the new owner, Paul O'Brien. Paul is keen to show that the emphasis is on "business as usual".

Dampcoursing specialises in the insertion of physical damp proof courses to either replace failed DPCs or installation into walls where none existed in the first place. The company also offers chemical DPCs, and timber treatment within its portfolio.

Managing Director Mark Brickell and fellow Director John Donaldson made the decision to sell the company but wanted to keep a hand in the business. Mark states, “We both wanted to ensure it went to someone who we thought would have a "feel' for our company, its products and services, the market we are in and, most importantly, our employees. We are confident we have chosen the right person in Paul O'Brien.”

With a background in both the construction and banking industry, Paul is well suited to join the Dampcoursing team. “I am a firm believer in not fixing what isn’t broken”, states Paul, “and I want to assure our clients that they will continue to receive the same professional services as they always have.”
